“Hypoxic Training Room”

This project represents an ambitious initiative to introduce hypoxic training for racehorses.

The facility utilizes Daikin Industries’ normobaric hypoxic system. Unlike conventional hypoxic chambers, which alter atmospheric pressure and require users to gradually acclimate due to the risk of physical discomfort, Daikin’s system maintains normal atmospheric pressure while reducing oxygen concentration, eliminating the need for pressure adaptation.

The training methodology also incorporates protocols developed by Toshiyuki Takada, former head coach of the Japan Men’s National Blind Football Team, with the goal of maximizing the athletic performance of racehorses.

In designing the space, we sought to minimize stress for the horses by creating an environment defined by transparency and openness, using clear polycarbonate panels and aluminum framing throughout the enclosure.

It is an exciting project, and we look forward to seeing the results reflected in future race performances.
