「One stem, one fruit」

Kyobashi Sembikiya is a long-established fruit store that has been in business for over 100 years. To ensure that each fruit is of the highest quality the company is committed to a strict quality check control and careful selection.


As an example, particularly cantaloupes are quite demanding in terms of planting. The cultivation method is ‘one stem, one fruit’ which means that each stem is being thinned out until there is only one fruit left. 


When it comes to Kyobashi Sembikiya Gransta Store in Tokyo, we tried to convey a concept of ‘one stem, one fruit’ in the store design. 

Finally, we expressed it on the wall by the color’s change of the fruits as they ripen, in the attempt to illustrate a sense of delicious taste floating in the space. 


Having said that, hopefully customers can experience wonders of the fruits in this store.
