Concept: One person
The project location is a 3-minutes walk from the west exit of Shinjuku Station. Ichidoku Group company runs there udon, soba and tempura restaurants. The philosophy of Ichidoku Group is “to create a store that people want to go to”.  
As the client thought it would be possible to open a place in Shinjuku where adults can enjoy and take a pleasure in drinking alone, he decided to open such store. 
In fact, we designed an interior where each seat accommodates only one person. In addition, the whole store operates as a self-service place where one can serve food and drinks by themselves and enjoy the entire time without any interruptions.
As for the design, it was inspired by the origin of Ichidoku Group’s name that comes from saying “Keep in mind that even a single drop of broth is worth to paid for.” Following this, we tried to create a design that would envision drops spreading one by one. 
Having said that, we would love everyone to spend a precious time there.
