HITOHACHI – Seijo Corty Store
Tokyo, Japan / 2021

“The light of the sun”

HITOHACHI is a store specializing in house plants, ornamental foliage and flowerpots which are made to grow smaller, just in the size that is possible to take home.

Thereupon, customers can freely combine together the plants and the flowerpots in order to create a favorite pot.

This time, our design team tried to design a shop environment just for plants.

It is known that “to keep a good health and regular biological internal clock of a human being, he or she needs to be bathed in the morning light for more than 30 minutes, to feel the outside light during the day as well as to reduce the illumination and color temperature in the evening”.

From that understanding, as plants – in essence –  are the same living organisms, we have come up with the design that contributes to plant’s health, simply by creating the same illumination and color temperature as exists in the nature.

As a matter of fact, we have used the ENDO’s Synca’s lighting and tried some programming modulations to create the same illumination and color temperature as it is made by natural light.

We hope that  plants  pass into the customer’s hands in a healthier condition.
