“Distortion and Taki”

Nanaha Co., Ltd. is a company that disseminates “new Japanese forms” to the world from the perspective of “Matcha”.
We offer high-quality matcha with a modern arrangement such as matcha latte.
And, the space required in the store is not “Japanese style” but “modern tea room”.
In the words of the owner, it is an expression of the desire to create a “store where you can enjoy the traditional tea culture of Japan through a modern interpretation.”

Kumamoto warlord Tadaoki Hosokawa is a disciple of Sen no Rikyu and is said to have been a straight person who was faithful to his teachings.

To such Tadaoki, Rikyu left behind a distorted tea ladle, “Distortion,” with the intention of “not only being straight, but sometimes distorting.”
Furuta Oribe, who continues to take on the challenge of distorting the exact opposite of Tadaoki, left a straight tea scoop “Taki” with the intention of “don’t forget the basics”.

It is thought that they tried to leave their teachings in light of the personality of Tadaoki and Oribe.

Therefore, at nana’s green tea Kumamoto store, we create a space that represents a distorted tea ladle, named after Tadako.

In fact, in order to express the “distorted tea ladle” that makes the best use of the original shape of the tree, the name tree of cedar was used as it was, and it was used as all the elements that compose the space.
