“Harmony”

Nanaha Co., Ltd. is a company that sends the “new form of Japan” to the world through “mattcha”. They provide high quality mattcha in menus that are arranged modernly, such as mattacha latte. The space inside the shop is desired to be a “modern tearoom”, not a “Japanese style tea room”. According to the owner, it is a way of expressing their feeling to make a shop that allows the customers to enjoy the traditional Japanese culture with a modern interpretation.

Although Kobori Enshu inherited the mind of Rikyu ‘s “Wabi · Sabi”, he made “beauty of harmony” it’s called “Kirei Sabi” to add beauty, brightness, luxuriance there.
In fact, he added a Shoin to the tearoom. For example, it is a designed shelf and widely adopted the design of Dynasty culture. Everything is assembled as a tearoom.

At nana’s green tea HEP FIVE shop, I designed modern “beauty of harmony” by assimilating ancient materials (stone, wood, soil) and modern materials (porcelain tile, glass, melamine, vinyl cloth, vinyl chloride and printing sheet) .
