“window”

  This is a renovation project of a private residential house in Asakusa.

  For renovations, modifying the aperture of the building is the most ineffective.

  However, with the revision of the plan, the adjustment of lighting design is common.

  Therefore, this time, by constructing windows and doors with “Shōji” (Japanese paper screen with wood grid), the design introduces natural light to areas not exposed to light with the original openings.

  With the diffused light of the Shōji, I hope the residences can feel as though there are windows and live a life surrounded by light.
