They provide high quality mattcha in menus that are arranged modernly, such as mattacha latte. The space inside the shop is desired to be a &#8220;modern tearoom&#8221;, not a &#8220;Japanese style tea room&#8221;. According to the owner, it is a way of expressing their feeling to make a shop that allows the customers to enjoy the traditional Japanese culture with a modern interpretation.<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Suki&#8221; means enjoying refined, well-cultivated things such as traditional Japanese poetry, tea ceremony and flower arrangement. &#8220;Sukiya&#8221; originally denoted a building in which tea ceremony was done (known as a tearoom) and was associated with these Japanese traditional arts.<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tearoom called &#8220;Sukiya&#8221; developed during the Azuchi-Momoyama period (1568-1603) and the masters of tea ceremony disliked formal design and gorgeous decoration.<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They liked various fixtures in a light and refined style.
