“Format”

Kamaasa Shoten is a hardware store in Kappabashi that started business by making and selling kama (iron pots). Like Kama, a cooking utensil that transfers “heat” to food, the store functioned as a place to transfer “good cooking utensils” to the customers.
I wanted the main store of Kamaasa Shoten to be a place that transfers both “history” and “utensil” to the customers. Therefore, I made a “format” using rebars and created a shelf by putting a lid of kama on the rotating body of that format. These shelves operate as a space to transfer “history” and “utensil”.
